What's immersed all about?
The ministry of immersed is designed to outfit and nourish young adult
(18-28) believers with the spiritual
tools necessary to serve in a local ministry for the glory
and fame of Jesus Christ.
A little
statistics
Brevard county Florida, is
home to nearly 30,000 college and university students
(est. 2005). Of these 30,000 local students,
nearly two-thirds are between the ages of 18 and 28.
Of 20 randomly selected Churches in Brevard county, only
185 young adults were congregational members. Of
these same 20 Churches, only five had organized ministries
targeting this age group. The need is obvious.
What's
the vision?
The vision is that young adults will redeem their
spiritual preparation and training by recognizing and
exercising their God-given spiritual gifts and talents
through a local ministry (the Church).
What's
the theme verse?
I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection
and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming
like him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the
resurrection for the dead.
