Contemporary Worship On Saturday night there is a relaxed contemporary large group meeting that starts at 6:00 p.m. The Immersed Band takes over the music and coffee is available before the service from the "Heavenly Grounds Cafe". Come as you are, and join us.
Traditional Worship Sunday morning worship meetings are usually traditional and formal in structure. The Chancel Choir performs and is often times supplemented by the children’s Youth Hand bells or the adult Hand bells. The music is excellent. The experience of worship is enhanced as the blending of classical and traditional music proceeds the spoken message of hope.
A nursery is provided on Saturday evenings and Sunday morning for families with small children. Children can be signed in 15 minutes before and picked up no later than 15 minutes after the service.
The Immersed Gathering on Thursday evening. strives to meet the spiritual needs of the collage age students in the community. Immersed is a contemporary meeting that mixes music with the good new of Jesus. See IMMERSED for more information.
Ash Wednesday is usually the second week of February each year. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent for Western Christian churches. It's a day of penitence to clean the soul before the Lent fast. The service draws on the ancient Biblical traditions of covering one's head with ashes, wearing sackcloth, and fasting. The use of ashes, made by burning palm crosses from the previous Palm Sunday, is very symbolic.
The Wednesday luncheon during the week of Lent is a special activity. See the Calendar for details.
Maundy Thursday is usually during the last week of March. See the Calendar for details.
Easter Sunday is a major celebration day for Eastminster. Sunrise Services start at 6:00 a.m. Morning worship opportunities follow at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m (2006 year). See the Calendar for details.
Thanksgiving Eve (Ecumenical, big word for a community shared worship experience) is another special service that attracts many community guests. Each year Eastminster participates with other Indialantic community churches to alternately host the Thanksgiving Service. The other two churches that host the Thanksgiving Eve service are:
St Marks United
Methodist Church First Baptist Church Indialantic
Christmas Eve services are at 5:00, 8:00 and 11:00 p.m (2006 year). The central point of all the services is the candle lighting, with the congregation raising their candles in unison worship. During the 11:00 service communion is also served. See Calendar for details.
Other special worship experiences are usually conducted throughout the year. See the calendar for dates and details. The Welcome/Information Station is staffed each Saturday evening and Sunday morning before and after the Worship Services. The purpose is to provide personal assistance, information on general church activities and guest directions. Often times this is the place where you can sign up for special Bible studies and activities associated with Eastminster. Stop by and check it out or better yet volunteer to staff it.
